Alex Widmer
Investment Assistant
Alex holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from North Dakota State University and is currently completing his Master's in Agribusiness and Applied Economics. Raised on a hobby farm in Lake Lillian, Minnesota, Alex developed a strong work ethic and appreciation for rural life while helping care for the family’s livestock including cows and pigs.
His professional journey has included experiences across various sectors of finance, including roles at a venture capital fund and a real estate investment trust (REIT). While at NDSU, Alex served as President of the Bison Fund, a student-managed investment fund with approximately $3 million in assets under management. Alex may look familiar; in 2021 he was an intern with Tom and is excited to return to the team now that he is back.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys playing guitar, riding his motorcycle through Minnesota’s backroads, and diving into a good book. He looks forward to building strong relationships with clients and contributing to the team’s continued success.
